HI!

I'm

KC

Williams.

I'm a Social Psychologist and student advocate who has taught Sociology since 1990. I was recently named the Director of African American Student Affairs at the University of Arizona! I'm STOKED about my new job and all that it entails. I'm excited to take on the responsibility of providing programming and sanctuary for Black students at the U of A. I'm enthralled with the city of Tucson, too! I am on the Board of diversityfirst.org, and served as the President of the Wilmington Council for the National Diversity Council for several years. I have been an adviser of the LGBTQIA Club and helped organize a Male Minority Mentoring Program at a small community college in NC. In 2015 I gathered up our faculty and staff and we organized a kick-ass Black History Month Program with over 40 contests and presentations -- it was epic! I manage several Facebook pages on ... well, diversity, of course! I'm a fun-loving, outgoing, extraverted people lover and advocate for equity and justice. I love the outdoors, The West Wing television series, and Downton Abbey on Masterpiece Classic. I've recently been publishing a lot of papers and making presentations at conferences! I love public speaking! I hope you enjoy my blog and learn something about equity and inclusion!
